REVIEW – Gentle Yet Effective Micellar Cleansing Water from Sukin Natural Skincare

Double cleansing is a must if you wear makeup on daily basis regardless of your skin types. For some people, they prefer cleansing oil/balm as their first cleanser to melt down the makeup before washing it with facial foam. Others use micellar water and cotton pads to get rid the dirt and makeup before applying facial wash. Which team are you? #TeamCleansingOil or #TeamMicellarWater?

As for my preference, I choose micellar water over cleansing oil/balm. Maybe it’s because I’ve been using the cleansing oil wrongly. Plus, I find it so satisfying to see the dirty cotton pads with my makeup on it after I do my first step cleansing (Yuni and her strange addictions).

But finding the right micellar water as your first cleanser is a tricky one if you have a pretty troublesome skin like mine, prone to acne, sensitive and oily.
I owe my friend a debt for introducing me to Sukin when I was in Australia. Sukin is a famous Australian owned vegan-friendly skincare that you can easily find in any chemists or grocery stores such as Coles and Woolworth. I think they are incredibly cheap considering the quality is top-noch and their ingredients are naturally derived from plants. No harsh chemicals, no animal-testing, and budget friendly, what’s not to love about this brand?

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Decyl Glucoside, Lecithin, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract (Chamomile), Vanillin, Alcohol Denat., Phenoxyethanol, Benzyl Alcohol.

Ok, moving on to Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water. This light weight micellar water wipes off your makeup and nasty gunks from your face effortlessly. You barely feel anything when you wipe it over your face and eyes. No strong scent, no tingling sensation, no alcohol, just a slight vanilla scent; therefore you should try this product if you suffer from sensitive skin like myself because it doesn’t cause any redness, breakouts (big nope) and any kinds of irritations.

I’d say Sukin has done a really impressive job in creating this gentle micellar water with an affordable price (AUD $10/250ml) and it could last for more than 3 months. Such a good deal!

Last but not least, Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water will always be one of my favorite face cleansing products and I highly recommend you to give it a go. Share your thoughts on this product and let me know what’s your favorite micellar water on comment section.

See y’all on my next #SkincareWithYuni, take care :*

Cheers,

Yuni
